I've noticed that a lot of movies these days are a mashup of two different, unrelated genres - with the predictable mixed results.

Martial Arts + Cute furry animals = Kung Fu Panda

Sci-Fi + Gritty Reality Documentary = District 9

Sci-Fi + Zombies = Pandorum

Zombies + Comedy = Zombieland
